It’s ANI-MAY, a month full of new releases and exciting anime news hosted by CrunchyRoll, so strap in and hold onto your Dragon Balls™ as we break down the highlights!

ANI-MAY has just started and most of the events and releases are still to come, but thanks to Fantera you’ll know exactly what’s coming and where to look so you don’t miss a thing! Read on as we breakdown the biggest headlines!

 Exclusive Merch in the CrunchyRoll Store

For the entire month of May, CrunchyRoll will feature an expanded roster of anime merch— collectibles and swag for every fandom, available at a discount! Be sure to check the store page from time to time as the month goes on to catch any new releases for your favorite shows/manga! Exclusive Partnerships and Events

  • UNIQLO will be offering Crunchyroll 30-day free trial codes with eligible online UT purchases, as well as special UTme! Collection designs from manga artist Remi Yamamoto, available at their NYC flagship stores. Yamamoto will also be creating live manga portraits on May 18 at the 5th Avenue location.

  • Hot Topic will roll out special promotions, exclusive anime merch and more throughout the month of May in its U.S. and Canada locations and on its website.

  • Barnes & Noble locations in the U.S. will be spotlighting anime home video (DVD and Blu-ray) deals.

  • Best Buy is offering an exclusive SPY x FAMILY pin with eligible purchases online and in-store.

  • Planet Hollywood New York has partnered with Crunchyroll for exclusive experiences, cocktails, dishes and merch inspired by anime featured during Ani-May.

  • Funko is hosting an autograph signing with the English voiced cast of JUJUTSU KAISEN on May 3, in celebration of the new Funko Pop! collection.

  • Fall Guys will be featuring a collection of skins from Bananya, including Bananya and Droopy Eared Bananya from May 1 to May 8.

  • And, of course, the just-announced return of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will hit theaters this May ahead of September's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle release

Expanded CrunchyRoll Game Vault

  • Shogun Showdown — Tactical turn-based roguelike comes exclusively to Crunchyroll Game Vault.

  • White Day — Cult Korean survival horror also makes its first-ever appearance on mobile platforms.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle First Movie Sneak Peek Attached to Mugen Train Re-Release:

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train rolls back into Japanese theaters later this week with a new 4K remaster. At a Demon Slayer event tonight in Yokohama, the official website announced that a special sneak preview of the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle anime film will be screened with the Mugen Train revival showings in Japan.

Made in Abyss Announces Plans for Smartphone Game:

Do you think you’re ready to brave the Abyss yourself? Soon, you'll have the chance to find out! The hit manga-turned-anime Made in Abyss will be getting a smartphone adaptation in the near future!

Titled Made in Abyss ~An Incredible Mysterious Journey~, this "casual game" will be available for iOS and Android devices. An X (formerly Twitter) account is also now open for the upcoming game. Beyond that, we don't know much—no studio has been attached, and beyond the "casual game" description, we have no idea what sort of game it will be. The social media account will post updates as they become available.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2 Anime Premieres in October 2025:

A new teaser trailer for the much-anticipated second season of the Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill anime released today announced a planned October 2025 broadcast and previewed a new character addition, Dora-chan, who's voiced by Ayumu Murase (Kage in Ranking of Kings).

Hey fans, Yuki here! I’m always so excited this time of year, because Summer’s just around the corner! We get the best weather, the best anime releases, and of course— the beach episodes! What’s your favorite ‘Beach Episode’ of all-time? Let us know below! My favorite is from Gurren Lagann. What can I say? I’m a little old-school!
