Fantera’s Top 3 Anime Conventions
It’s impossible to truly rank the convention scene because they’re all so vastly different and amazing in their own ways! Besides, its the fans at these events that REALLY make them what they are, so whatever convention YOU attend is the BEST in our books!
Still, we wanted to take a moment to highlight a few that we think are special and deserve to be shared with the fans!
3. Anime Boston
Anime Boston is an established and fine-tuned convention with 20 years history just at their current location! One of the largest anime conventions in the country with dozens of special events and guests, with family-friendly daytime activities and more adult-oriented evening entertainment, there’s something for everyone!

2. Dream Con
While being one of the newer conventions on the scene, Dream Con is making big waves with an amazing roster of entertainment, from parties with modern influencers to gaming events to voice actor panels! Dream celebrates the anime fans that make the genre so great. That’s you! This one’s in Houston, and you can still catch it May 30th - June 1st!

1. Otakon
One of the longest-running and most successful Anime conventions in the US, Otakon has been celebrating Anime and Japanese culture for 30 years! They’re absolutely packed with sights to see, people to meet, and things to do! They even have laser tag!

Yuki’s Corner!
Hey fans, Yuki here! I absolutely love the vibes at conventions! The electricity in the air as everyone celebrates their common interests, all the yummy treats and awesome collectibles for sale, and the joy on everyone’s faces! There are certainly challenges when it comes to attending conventions, between the travel time and the cost, it’s a commitment! However, where there’s a will there’s a way! With enough heads-up, I can budget my spending and save just a little each month to cover my ticket price!
Fortunately as I am already an anime character, I save a lot of money on cosplay!
